Statement of Purpose:
As an Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts student with a minor in media studies and technology, I’ve developed a passion for sound design and the ways audio shapes our emotional and sensory experiences. My coursework has allowed me to explore how sound functions in various media, from film and music to digital storytelling, while also building skills in communication, cultural analysis, and creative production. I’ve come to appreciate sound not just as background, but as a central element in how we interpret meaning, build atmosphere, and connect with audiences on a deeper level. This portfolio brings together key projects that reflect my growth as a sound designer and creative thinker. It includes work on the impact of technology on music creation, critical essays on audio in visual media, and explorations of how sound design contributes to mood, storytelling, and immersion. These examples demonstrate my ability to blend technical knowledge with interdisciplinary insight. As I move forward in my career, I’m excited to bring a thoughtful, intentional approach to the art of sound and contribute meaningfully to the evolving world of audio production
